The opening of Lathey Outdoor Pool, which was scheduled to open on Wednesday, June 9, has been delayed due to mechanical issues. Facility staff are working hard to fix the problem and hope to announce a new opening date in the next few days.
George Ward Outdoor Pool, which was scheduled to open on Wednesday, June 16, will also be delayed. The pool will open Saturday, June 19, weather permitting, as contractors require more time than expected to complete maintenance on the pool prior to the start of the season.
The City thanks residents for their patience during this time. Riversdale Pool has opened and is available for patrons. Mayfair Pool will open as scheduled on Tuesday, June 15.Â
A swim session can be booked up to 2 days in advance by visiting Leisure Online at saskatoon.ca/leisureonline (select ‘Book a Visit’) or by calling 306-975-2855 (phone lines are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily). A limited number of walk-in spots will be available for public, family, and parent and tot swimming sessions; however, pre-booking is recommended. Walk-in spots are not available for aqua fitness and lane swimming. If you do not arrive within 15 minutes from the start of your booked session time, your spot will be given to someone waiting in line. You may only book one session per day, but you can join the walk-in line as often as you wish. The swim session schedule is listed on Leisure Online (select ‘Book a Visit’) and at saskatoon.ca/outdoorpools.
